HSE24 is a new customer of Hermes Fulfilment. HSE24, the home shopping and multi-channel specialist has engaged Hamburg based fulfilment services provider Hermes Fulfilment to process its fashion and beauty product shipments. For this it will be using the warehousing and returns management fulfilment modules. The partnership is to start mid July.

The service package covers quality control, storage, picking and returns management and includes the product refurbishment of returned goods. These services will be performed at the Hermes location in Löhne from where shipments will be sent to all German speaking countries. The fashion range includes both hanging garments and standard folded goods.

According to HSE24, the partnership is being set up to deal with the exponential growth of its home shopping business which is especially due to the enormous success of its fashion segment. “The fashion segment’s share of the company’s overall turnover has almost doubled in the past three years. That’s why we need to expand our storage capacities and fulfilment services, also to be able to cope with future growth,” explains Koen Verbrugge, executive board member responsible for service & operations. The fashion and beauty ranges account for about half the turnover of HSE24.

According to Verbrugge the decisive factor in their decision to place this major order with Hermes Fulfilment was the company’s extensive expertise in the textile industry and the broad range of items that it is capable of handling. Hermes Fulfilment is a 100% subsidiary of the Otto Group.

In setting up this new partnership with HSE24, Hermes Fulfilment continues to expand its business with external clients. “We are extremely pleased that HSE24, one of Germany’s largest and best known shopping channels, has placed its trust in us. We have established ourselves in the market as an impartial service provider, independent of the Otto Group,” says Dieter Urbanke, managing director of Hermes Fulfilment. He expects to process about five million shipments a year for the multi-channel department store.
